Take Your Kid to Work Day! The kids look forward to this every year because they basically play when they go to work with Kenny! Scooter rides around downtown?! So fun.
The boys went to Fathers and Sons and had a great time of course and while they did that the girls and mom and dad went to an Aviators baseball game with the kids’ school. Sami was so into it! She would clap and cheer and dance and she was the most entertaining part of the game. The stadium is brand new and so nice and Kayli loved the treats that come with a baseball game.
Trey got to go to the dolphin habitat with Grandma and Grandpa. He loves dolphins and told everyone leading up to it that he was going there. He especially loved the souvenirs he got to bring home.
For Mike’s birthday, Erin hosted an 80’s Murder Mystery Dinner. I was Fadonna and Kenny was Alligator Dundee (Madonna and Crocodile Dundee). We had to dress the part and so Kenny came home right before the party with bleached hair! (He then kept the bleached hair for like 4 weeks!) It was quite the costume.
Beau and Kenny went with a bunch of friends to an Aviators game!
Mother’s Day was great. I love all the kids’ handmade gifts and cards and they always bring me breakfast in bed. I love these kids so much. I am a lucky mom!
We went to the kids’ school for the 10 year Anniversary celebration. Kayli had to create a paper doll that represented what she wants to be when she grows up. She chose a teacher of course. Beau and his classmates interviewed each other. We sure love Bozarth!
We watched cousin Ryder for a few days and he was so easy-going! He came to swim lessons with us and napped so good. Sami taught him a few things about going up and down the stairs and I loved that he let me rock him to sleep!
The kids had Field Day…
Trey had swim lessons. He liked to talk Tina’s ear off more than learn to swim though. The last two days he finally started doing better. He was so sad when lessons were over and he wouldn’t get to go see Tina anymore. He really loved her and she loved him.
The kids had great school years and we were sad to say goodbye to their teachers. They both did really well, had great teachers, and great friends in their classes. On the last day of school Haley, Erin, Mindy and I walked to get the kids and then got Shaved Ice at the park. It was overcast and cool (so funny that our kids are wearing hoodies in their last day of school pictures) and so we loved being able to be outside! Then we headed home to figure out what to do with 4 kids home all summer! Haha.
The kids finished flag football. Kayli scored a touchdown at one of her last practices and it really gave her some confidence. She got a lot of action in her last game and I’m proud of her for working really hard against older and bigger kids! Beau plays so hard and always gives it his all. He scored lots of touchdowns and pulled lots of flags. Him and his buddies are really fun to watch.
Mrs. Buell even came to a couple of the both kids’ games! She is like family! We love her!
Mom’s Pickle Ball and all the kids that come with us…
We had to say goodbye to Charlie… he was old and not doing good anymore. The kids were so sweet saying goodbye. We love Charlie!
On Memorial Day (and for Aunt Kayli’s birthday) we saw Aladdin with the Eliason family. The kids had been looking forward to seeing it for awhile and Trey had “A Whole New World” memorized and would perform it for us with so much expression. We loved the movie and are obsessed with the songs and all things Aladdin now. After the movie, we went by Aunt Kayli’s grave and had birthday cake.
Everyone except Kenny got sick the first week of summer break. They sure are cuddly and cute that they fall asleep anywhere when they are sick!
We got to stay at a place called the Lotus House and it was a blast! NeONBRAND had the place rented for a video shoot so we got to stay one night. We decided to invite friends over and have a pool party! The house was sooooo nice and the backyard and pool were huge. Kenny even made pizza for everyone!
We went to St. George with some of my family for a couple days and we had so much fun! The kids loved running around with cousins. We went to The Pizza Factory and saw The Little Mermaid at Tuachan which I love! Kayli came and she loved it! The show was late at night and so Kenny stayed at the hotel with the little ones. Ryder was supposed to go right to sleep but he wasn’t having it so Kenny ended up taking them for a drive to a really cool spot! The next morning, Kenny and Russ took the kids to the bike track. Then we went to the candy store, rode scooters around downtown, went to to Swig and went to the indoor pool at the Washington Rec Center. The kids loved it! The water slide was so fun and the kids loved swimming around with cousins. Kayli did not want to leave! Then we ate at Cafe Rio, went shopping a little, went to Thunder Junction Park and went to Swig one last time. It was short but so fun!
Rachel’s kids came over for a few hours on Saturday night and we ended up playing hockey, football, riding bikes, shooting nerf guns and just playing with them and the neighbors all night. It was a perfect summer night!
S’mores!
Kayli is going to Art Camp this week with Milani and some other friends. She has been looking forward to this for awhile! She is so helpful and has been teaching herself piano again. She loves going swimming.
Beau loves to play outside still while the weather hasn’t been too bad. This is our first hot week! We have been so spoiled! He comes in sweaty and black from head to toe. He’s a little fish and would swim all day if we let him.
Trey gave his first talk in primary and did awesome. He’s our first kid to just consistently go places or do things without freaking out. I can count on him to just get up and do what he has to do do or go to a class or a friends’ house without ever having a hard time. His primary teacher sends me cute pictures of him and his primary sub text me to tell me how sweet and good he was in class. He CAN’T WAIT for his birthday in less than a month now! He wants a huge animal party or to go to zoos and museums in Utah! I don’t know which I’ll be able to pull off! He loves puzzles and is really good at them! He is independent and just does whatever he wants. Our friends were selling lemonade down at the grass at the end of the street the other day. We stopped and got some lemonade but later he decided he was going to go again. He got on his bike and rode on down there! I came out to find him and saw his little helmet on his head down at the end of the street. He had just decided that he wanted to go down, knew how to get there, and he’d come back when he was done.
We are obsessed with Sami. She is still the happiest, friendliest, sweetest little thing. She is always telling me “thank you mommy!” She is seriously the best example for all of us. She says “I love you mommy” and it melts my heart. She is always smiling. Yesterday she climbed out of her crib! All of a sudden she came around the corner and said “hi Beau”. I had her show me and yep- she can climb right out now! She loves to sing and can sing a few lines of songs. She is always trying to get Alexa to play songs. Her favorites are “Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam”, “Bubble Gum”, “Baby Shark”, “Let it Go”, “High Hopes” and sometimes she surprises us when she knows other songs too. At bedtime she’ll hum “Reverently, Quietly” like we do. She hums the beginning of “Baby Shark” too and it’s my favorite thing! I love the way she says smoothie, trampoline, Mimi’s out!, popsicle, go knights go! malk (milk), and sometimes picks up on her older siblings’ bad manners… “Beau’s mean”, etc. She is a parrot. She is constantly surprising us with what she can say! She is so good in nursery and is loving playing with dolls, barbies or whatever the kids are playing with. She loves finding Golden Knights logos and she is really good at spotting them! Then she’ll yell “Beau! Golden Knights!” and “go knights go!” She really is so good except she hates shopping and screams the whole time and climbs out of carts which is really hard when I have to take her shopping!
More pics…
I’m still playing soccer and we have the so much fun and get better every season. We now play against the top teams! Love this team!
