Well we’ve sure experienced some big changes in the last few months. In August, we moved to San Diego so that Kenny could start law school. This move meant that I would quit teaching and Kenny would leave his job at the law firm. Both of us hated leaving our jobs. The hardest thing about leaving, though, was saying goodbye to family. We sure were spoiled living so close to both sides of our families and seeing them so often. Who would have thought missing out on Sunday dinners would be so sad! One thing this move has taught us though is how to cook a Sunday roast! We’ve been so lucky to live pretty close to Vegas, and we have seen family a ton since we left.
Our greatest new experience is being parents! Kayli Ryan Eliason was born on November 24, 2010. She is such a joy to us and we love her so much! We think she’s pretty cute and she already has a fun personality. Kenny is so great with her and I can tell that Kayli loves her daddy. His favorite thing to do with her is read her Juevos Verde Con Jamón… can you tell what that is? Green Eggs and Ham in Spanish! He practically has the book memorized! Kenny speaks to Kayli in only Spanish and I obviously speak to her in only English. Hopefully (if all the research is correct) she will grow up to be bilingual! Well Kayli is 8 weeks old today and she’s happy, healthy, and beautiful. We couldn’t be more blessed and thankful to have her.
Well my plan is to blog at least once a month to keep everyone updated on us (ok I know you really only care to see pictures of Kayli, not Kenny and me, and promise to post some good ones!) and mostly so I can make the special book! Hopefully I can keep up!
