I made sure that I kept busy that week and thanks to our family and friends we were pretty much only home for naps and bedtime! We played with our friends all day long and at night we would head over to the Eliason’s house so that the kids could play while I ran since I had to train for my race.
Kayli got to sleep in mom’s big bed and eat ice-cream and watch movies with me while daddy was away.
We went to dinner with Haley and Collyns and couldn’t help but take pictures of these two…
We played with friends and went swimming.
We went to FLIPnOUT.
We went to the movies with friends.
My family hung out with us on Friday night. We took them to the park and then Kelli, Rachel and her kids spent the night.
Kaci graduated from high school! Kayli is going to be devastated when Kaci leaves for school in August.

I ran my first half-marathon this month! I actually loved it. We ran the Utah Valley Half Marathon and it was an awesome race! The course was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The whole atmosphere of the race was so invigorating and I ran it completely pain free and with more energy than I thought I would have. I finished with a better time than I thought I would too. I wanted to finish under 2 hours but I wasn’t sure that that was realistically possible so when I finished at 1 hour 54 minutes I was pretty dang excited. I’ve been training with Holli, Kenny’s cousin. She would come up to my house every night so that I could help put kids to bed and then we’d run all night training. She motivated me so much at the beginning of training when I didn’t think running 13.1 miles was possible. Kenny was such a good sport too and stayed home with the kids while I was gone so much training. My in-laws too-they watched the kids during some of my long runs. I couldn’t have done this without any of these people! So the first 8 miles were through Provo Canyon. At the mouth of the canyon at mile 8 my cousins Kyle and David and my Uncle David jumped in and finished the race with me. It was so awesome! Not only are they hilarious and kept me entertained but their legs were all fresh and ready to run that in order to keep up with them I had to run a little faster than I probably would have alone. They motivated me the last 5 miles and I owe my time to them! I was so tired and ready to be done by the end but it was so amazing and exciting and energizing all at the same time.

Kayli loves going to Utah and hanging out with my cousins. They are such good sports and play dress up and Frozen with her.
We went to River Woods and played in the splash pad and rode the merry-go-round.
And we got to see my Grandma and Grandpa!
I only have one picture from Father’s Day. All the dad’s in our lives are such good guys. The best actually. They are great examples to everyone! Kayli made Kenny about 14 cards. These kids have an awesome father and they love him so much. They wait every night on the front porch for him to come home. They go to bed late most nights because they just can’t stop playing around with dad!
I have an amazing dad too. We have always been really close. I remember being really little playing sports with him-and that’s probably where my love of sports came from. He is the most kind and humble person. Everyone loves him! He makes everyone feel special and important. He’s just genuinely nice! Love my dad!
Kenny also has an amazing dad. He’s like the hardest-working person ever who is still always willing to help us out. He’s super nice, funny, welcoming, and just fun.
We FINALLY got down to San Diego this month. We haven’t been down there in over a year and haven’t seen Josh, Mandy, and Lexi in 6 months. We were dying to get down there and see them. We sure miss San Diego when we are down there. It was so fun to live down there for a short little while. We consider Josh and Mandy our family and couldn’t have survived being away from home without them and when we get together it’s so much fun and we don’t stop laughing-mostly because of these two…
When we rolled into town we met up at Casa Guadalajara-one of our favorites.
The next morning Mandy and I took the kids to the new splash pad downtown.
That night we had a bonfire on the bay and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. Kenny’s cousin Andrea and her boys came too. It was fun to see them too!
Saturday was the beach!
That night we went to Coronado Island for pizza. Courtney and Josh also came with us-they were our neighbors when we lived down there!
For Fourth of July we had Emily, Scott and the kids and mom, dad, and Kelli over for a BBQ. We just hung out indoors playing games until it cooled down a bit and then we went to the park for the fireworks show. It was actually nice out waiting for the show and it sprinkled on us. It turned out to be a fun day!

Beau is a ball full of energy these days. He is rambunctious but so sweet. He gives the best hugs and makes people feel so special and loved when he runs right up to them for a hug. He loves to “say” the prayer even though he doesn’t say many words yet. He loves running around and is constantly sweaty! He likes to play rough and Kayli isn’t so much into that so he loves when the older boys will play with him! He doesn’t say much so we sometimes joke that we don’t realize how smart he really is…but the other night we were asking him to point to different characters in his Cars book and he knew them all-more than me! He also signs pretty good so that’s really helpful! He’s hard to take shopping. He spends a lot of time in the corner.
He always does this…and then can’t get it off the door so he’s stuck there.
Kayli gives the best prayers. She is so thoughtful and thankful for everything. She loves taking care of her flowers. She likes to draw and play church and school. I always find Kayli selfies on my phone.
Yesterday we saw How to Train Your Dragon 2 for cousin Adam’s birthday. Why does Kayli look 7 here?!
These kids love to dance and “Happy” by Pharrell Williams is their favorite song.
Grandma England taught the grandkids how to play Musical Chairs. We laugh every time though because Beau cheats by taking the chair with him and when he loses he throws the biggest fit. The kids also love playing primary at Grandma’s house. Kayli is always the chorister and Beau is the bishop.
They love baking with Grandma Eliason!
Fro yo with Grandpa…
Cute little window washers…
Donuts with daddy…
Working with daddy…
And Warehouse Wars is always a good time…
Sure love these kiddos!
