Kayli is now 9 months old! It’s hard to believe that much time has passed since she was born-and we are loving every minute of it. Kayli continues to be our energetic and friendly little baby. She is now standing and has taken up to 10 steps! She is pretty ambitious and determined-she wants to walk! She’s growing up and it’s so much fun! Here’s a few pictures of her lately:
SAN DIEGO (WE LOVE THAT PLACE!)
We’ve already been back to San Diego-twice-since we moved back to Vegas. We just can’t stay away! Here’s some pictures from our first trip back:
Beach Volleyball (This became our Saturday morning routine…I loved it of course!)
Kayli sits under an umbrella and watches us play-but she squeals the whole time like she wants to get out and play and if you give her the volleyball she hits it with perfect form-she’ll be a great hitter one day…look at her passing form…beautiful.
I love this little face…
Too bad they found a shark in the water at Mission Beach. I’m never going in the water again!
This was a perfect weekend to head down to SD, because our friends Clark and Jennifer (and Addie), were coming in from Salt Lake. They had been gone all summer but were only coming back to SD for a few weeks to pack up their place and move back to SLC. We told them we would pick them up from the airport…little did they know that we were going to embarrass them (and us) with our HUGE welcome home sign…it was REALLY embarrassing! HAHAHA.
Waiting and hoping we don’t miss them…
It was so much fun getting together with all our best friends from San Diego. That night we went to our favorite, BJ’s Pizza, with Josh and Mandy, Ari and Christian, Jennifer, Clark, and Addie. Kenny and I still had our apartment through the end of August so we stayed there. We were able to see our neighbors, Josh and Courtney too. Sunday night Courtney and Mandy planned a BBQ at our place. I love all of our friends!
We had to head home Monday but decided we were going to stop at the Wild Animal Park on our way out. Clark and Jennifer and Josh and Mandy came with us since we all had season passes. It was pretty cool-but HOT!
You can take a safari tram through the park and you ride right next to all the animals!
We had a great time with our friends, like always, and I hated saying goodbye. Kenny and I drove home that afternoon but we decided to stop at Calico Ghost Town by Barstow. In all our years of driving to Cali and back we had never stopped and seen the Ghost Town-and it was really cool. All the shops were closed for the day but we were still able to walk through the town.
This picture makes me laugh every time…
I love this one…
KELLI IS IN CHINA!
Last Thursday my sister, Kelli, left for China for 4 months. She is teaching English to kids over there. She was pretty excited but I have been so nervous for her because I could never do that! She is much braver than I am! She e-mailed today and she is good! She has made friends, the food is great, and they are getting ready to start teaching! I can’t believe she is in CHINA right now! Anyway, Kayli and I spent a few days over at my mom’s last week to hang out before Kelli left. I got some cute pictures of Kayli and Adam playing together. They are so fun to watch. Kayli has to do whatever Adam does and he finally lets her play with him. Haha, they are best cousins!
They climbed over the roadblock! They weren’t supposed to get to the stairs but that didn’t work.
More pictures of the cousins…
LAKE TRIPS
We sold our boat last summer which was a huge bummer but we’ve been lucky enough to have friends invite us to the lake. This past weekend, we went with Randy and Eryn Joseph. It was fun seeing them again and we had a great time wakeboarding! The babies were so cute bundled up in their life jackets! Here’s Kayli…
The water was so warm, and Kayli loved splashing around in the water.
By the end though, she was exhausted I guess…she fell asleep sitting up!
Jayson and Casey says
Ok, the falling asleep sitting up picture is ADORABLE. The lake wipes me out, too. She is to die for CUTE!! Looks like you guys had so much fun! I miss San Diego…
