As soon as school ended we headed to Lake Tahoe for a fun vacation/hockey tournament. We had the best time exploring, hanging out with our friends, and Beau’s team won the championship!
On the way up we stopped in some old towns…
We also stopped in Carson City…
Lake Tahoe was incredible! It was so beautiful…
Exploring and playing around the lake…
Olympic Village… it was beautiful and we rode the ski lift to the top of the mountain…
More from Lake Tahoe…
Mini golfing…
Bike riding was one of our favorite things we did there…
Watching hockey was so much fun! Beau did awesome. He had two hat trick games and 9 goals over the whole tournament. It was so fun that they won the whole thing! We loved the arena with the huge window where we could see the trees outside!
More fun in Tahoe…
Baptisms for the dead with the cousins old enough…
We took a trip to Utah since Kenny had a conference up there. We visited Grandma at her new place, went to Grandpa’s grave, went to see the Sagers at their new house, went to BYU, went to the Provo Rec Center, saw the Orem temple, and Hiked the Y!
Hiking the Y was hot at first and really hard but so rewarding at the end! I was so proud of Sami, especially, because it was not easy but she did it! Kayli hated it at first but loved the view at the end. The boys did awesome and Trey finished first! We loved the sunset and the cool weather at the top. The three oldest kids and Kenny ran back down. Sami had stomach cramps so her and I walked down and even though she was hurting she walked the whole thing! Uncle David was so helpful telling us when to go and bringing snacks.
Kayli went to her third year of Girl’s Camp…
It’s pretty funny to us when Beau and Bennett end up in the penalty box at the same time…
We spent a day in Pine Valley with Kenny’s family. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside with nothing to do, where the weather was perfect.
Kayli went to FSY. It was hard dropping her off and leaving her there even though she seemed good but…she was the youngest one there annnnnnd she hated it the first 24 hours and wanted to come home. She cried that night telling us to come get her. It was hard for her knowing she had 6 more days away from home and she was with people she didn’t know. I knew it was hard for her but wanted her to stick with it. I knew it would be worth it. Eventually, she started enjoying it, had lots of fun, and learned a lot! It was the hardest thing she has ever done but SHE DID IT! (The Facetime pic is her at FSY, Beau and I in Nashville, and Kenny, Sami and Trey together.)
