Kenny turned 32 on March 19th. He doesn’t like his birthday to be a big deal so all we did was dinner and dessert afterwards at his parent’s house.
His present was Monster Jam tickets and Beau got to go with him to the preshow. Russ and Adam went with them too. Beau loved the big trucks!
His birthday weekend we also went off-roading with friends so Kenny was pretty excited about that. We had a bonfire and roasted tin foil dinners and s’mores and the kids had a blast playing. We also had some pretty fun adventures with a broken down jeep! It was all a really good time.
This past month we took our first trip to Urgent Care for one of our kiddos. Beau was playing with his cousins at my mom’s house and came downstairs crying that his arm hurt. We thought he was fine and tried to get him to go play some more but he wouldn’t. My mom had been with him and it didn’t seem like anything had happened so we didn’t know what to do. When he kept crying and saying his arm hurt whenever we moved it-we decided to head to Quick Care hoping it wasn’t broken. Four hours later the doctor came in and fixed it-he had a dislocated elbow. It hurt really bad to get it put back in place but he was instantly better. We left with our happy Beau back! It was the saddest thing ever watching him so sad and hurt but also so sweet that he just let us hold him for four hours. And he was so excited about the superhero stickers he got.
That same week Kayli wrecked on an electric 4 wheeler at her friend’s house. She was having so much fun and was so brave to drive it and then she whipped them around too fast and off they went. She got some pretty good scrapes (we’re just glad she finally decided about a week before that that band-aids are good things) and thought she couldn’t walk for two days-but everyone is good and healed now!
We had such a fun Easter! We had an egg hunt at the park with friends, colored eggs at Grandma England’s house, colored eggs at our house, and had an egg hunt at both Grandma’s houses with cousins on Easter.
We went to the Wetlands with Grandma and Grandpa England, Kelli, and Rachel and her kids and thought it was pretty fun! The kids loved the museum and walking around outside.
We also saw Cinderella with my family and went swimming for the first time this year with Lindsay, Owen, Kelsi, and Kate.
Kayli and cousin Kate have had so much fun lately. Kate loves to do whatever Kayli does and Kayli loves that Kate loves her! She also loves to hold baby Evelyn. She’s a great older sister/cousin.
Kayli is so much fun and getting so brave. She does so much more than she would have done a few months ago. She loves to sing and learn new songs. Her favorite song right now is Build an Ark which is a Children’s Friend song that they are learning in primary. She has the whole thing memorized and will sing it for anyone-which is huge for her! She also knows how to sing I am a Child of God, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and Faith all in Spanish. She loves learning new Spanish songs with dad at bedtime. She is very curious and asks things like “how did Jesus create this WHOLE earth?” “When did Adam and Eve die?” and she loves to hear stories about when her mommy and daddy were little. She loves taking selfies and making videos of her saying random things. She also likes to make videos to talk to Kenny, then text it to him, and then wait for his video reply.
Beau is talking so much better lately. It seems like every day he surprises us with something new. He loves his Grandpas and whenever he is sad he cries, “grandpa, grandpa, grandpa…”. His new thing is he likes to wink and give you two thumbs up-we think it’s pretty cute. He loves racing home when we have two cars. He likes to be Spiderman and still loves playing with cars. He has recently liked singing songs too. He can sing (not perfectly but you can tell he does know them) “I am a Child of God”, “The Wise Man and the Foolish Man”, and “Daddy’s Homecoming”. He tries to delay bedtime now. He loves to feel the baby move. He loved watching March Madness and cheered every time anyone made a basket. He also thought they fell a lot so when he’d play in his room he’d shoot a basket and fall-every time. He’s always making goofy faces in pictures. He loves holding Evelyn and is so sweet with her. He liked being our leader with Grandpa at the Wetlands and he fought off all the bears 🙂
And us three sisters-in-law are pregnant at the same time. Lindsay is due May 3, me July 10, and Kelsi September 6-so that’s fun!
These kids are the best. We seriously love them so much. We always say that we’re just so obsessed with them.
