January was a little slower for us and it was so nice! Here’s what we did…
Trey boy is a Sunbeam! He goes right to primary happily every Sunday and I thiiiiiink he’s good in there. I’m not totally sure. He’s got lots of buddies in there who he is very comfortable with but I do know he’s paying attention. He came home last week and can sing the Baptism song. He even says “immersion” right and finishes the song “by immersion, Jordan’s flow”. Other than that, he’s got the song down!
Beau got to spend the day with Grandma, Grandpa, and Adam. They went to Chuck E. Cheese, Chick Fil A, Fiiz and came home with all kinds of treats and winnings.
We finally took Trey to Bass Pro Shops and of course he loved it all!
Me and some of my best girlfriends took a quick girls’ trip up to Duck Creek. We had a blast chit-chatting all night, playing games, eating lots of yummy food, sledding, and just hanging out kid-free! We loved that Mindy brought baby Skylar and we got to hold her lots. It was a great time! The dads back home all survived and even took all the kids to FLIPnOUT and most of them made it to church without us there to help. Haha. Someone wasn’t too happy that mom wasn’t there to help with her hair on Sunday morning…
Chase picked the kids up from school in the bus one day. I thought it was hilarious but was also pretty embarrassed for him but he thought it was awesome and so did the kids and the teachers! Kayli got off the bus yelling “best day ever! We rode the bus home! And now the moms are leaving!” Haha. It was the day we were leaving for our girls’ trip and she thought it was pretty awesome I guess. They rode the bus to FLIPnOUT too!
Russ invited Kenny and Beau to a Golden Knight’s Viewing Party and Beau was IN HEAVEN. He hasn’t been to an actual hockey game yet and he’s dying to go to one so this was pretty exciting to him because not only did they got down to the T-Mobile Arena where the Golden Knights play and watch the game on the big screen, but they got to go skate on the ice and sit in the penalty box! He hadn’t been ice-skating before but I guess all of his rollerblading was good practice because he got on the ice and was fine and was skating around fast and jumping and trying tricks! He had so much fun being there with Kenny, Russ, and Adam and I’m so glad he got to go to that! We have GOT to get this kid to a game!
Kayli and Emma spend the night at Grandma’s and then had a fun day getting manicures, Yogurt Land and lunch!
Beau started basketball and because he loves all sports- he’s loving it! He hadn’t played much basketball before this so he’s having fun learning new skills and comes home and wants to practice more. He’s on the same team with Bennett, Carter, and even cousin Owen so that’s fun for him.
IT SNOWED IN VEGAS! February 10th! We were driving home from Kenny’s grandma’s house where we were celebrating her birthday and as we got higher and higher up to our house we were driving in a snowstorm! We got to our street and all the neighbor’s were out-all of us in shock and so excited! Our kids bundled up and went right outside with everyone too. We were throwing snowballs and someone in the neighborhood even built a snowman at the entrance to our neighborhood that stood for like 3 days! We woke up to snow on the grass and cars still. It was pretty exciting except they didn’t cancel school which our kids were hoping for! And then it snowed again yesterday when we got home from church (February 17th!) and then lots last night. We had mom and dad and Emily’s family over for Sunday dinner and while they were here it snowed again! This time the snowflakes were huge and the neighbors were out and we had a huge snowball fight! This morning there is still some snow out! We are having the craziest weather and there’s more snow in the forecast!
We went bowling on Grandma Eliason’s birthday! Beau gets really upset when he doesn’t knock down any pins. It’s pretty funny. Luckily, he got the hang of it a little better by the end and even got a strike and a spare so he at least left happy!
We had a lot of fun celebrating Valentine’s Day! The kids both had projects to do for school and had fun making valentines for family out of state and for their classmates. We made sugar cookies and decorated them all week long. I had Playgroup at me house that morning so Trey and his friends got to do a Valentine Exchange and they were so cute! It was the first time they had done this with friends and they thought it was the coolest thing ever. Trey wanted to take a valentine and cookies to Sis. Pollock so we did that too. That night I made the kids’ favorite dinner-Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and Kayli decorated the table. The boys showed up at the door with flowers and chocolates for the girls. The first thing Kenny said to me was “don’t worry I didn’t buy these” and I said “oh good, that’s what I like to hear” and it was perfect. Don’t worry, he didn’t steal them either. We had a fun night at home and we love our cute little Valentines!
One night we were at Eliason family dinner but none of the cousins were able to come. When it was time to leave I see Trey looking out the window and told him we needed to go. He said “but not everyone is here yet! I’m still waiting for Beck and Livi!” It was pretty cute. He had been waiting for his cousins to get there all night! He didn’t realize they weren’t coming I guess!
Trey goes to Sports Class again with Madden and McKay. He sure looks forward to it every week!
Steve invited Kenny to a Golden Knights game. Me and Beau were a little jealous!
We surprised mom for her birthday and showed up at her house early Saturday morning and told her to get in the car because we were doing something all day. We drove to St. George and did the Parade of Homes which was awesome! My sisters and dad all came and also Kayli and Ryder. It was such a fun day eating and looking at homes.
Sami will be 18 months on the 19th! She is so much fun, so happy, so sweet, but also turning into quite the handful! She’s constantly moving chairs around to get onto counters or the table, she’s always in Kayli’s art stuff, gets into cereal or whatever else is left out, pulls hair, hits… she’s learned a lot from three older siblings! She sings “happy to you” for birthdays, is finally close to closing her eyes, folding her arms, and bowing her head during prayers, is still obsessed with Minnie and Frozen, likes to wear her new purse, freaks out when she hears that dad is home, carries around a bag of cereal just like her big brothers, says thank you, will sometimes tell me “night night” when she’s ready for a nap, is obsessed with Beau and is always asking where Beau Beau is, and we think she’s just the cutest, happiest little thing!
Trey loves to play with friends and asks every day where we are going. He always wants to go somewhere (although he’s happy to stay home and watch shows too! I think he’d do that all day if I let him!) He eats pepperoni like candy. His favorite thing to do is go to Target and look at the little toy animals. He has lots of them already but every time I get to self checkout which seems to be the only thing open, he scans an animal he’s had hidden! He always tells me he has honey in his ears (earwax)! He keeps asking when we can go to a real zoo. He knows the Lion Habitat here isn’t a real (big) zoo. He is really good at puzzles! Hard ones! He is a funny one.
Beau is fun. He’s so wild when he gets home from school and has a hard time focusing on homework and putting stuff away. He just wants to bounce off the walls and be crazy. One day Bennett and Carter were over. They were on the rock wall and started talking to our neighbor behind us, Callie. They were asking her about her security cameras and if the ninjas could still sneak in thru the sewer lines and get into her house. She’d answer a question and then they’d ask another one. Luckily she is so nice and wasn’t annoyed at all by it and thought they were pretty cute. I kept telling them to get down and leave her alone but they were really so interested in how the motion sensor worked and if she had cameras in the front, etc. It was pretty funny. You’d think they were planning a robbery!
Kayli loves playing school, reading, and Activity Days! She is a fun girl. I loved this cute thing she wrote in school:
