Beau played baseball with all of his buddies again. The season just ended and I will miss it! I loved watching the games, visiting with friends and seeing our parents so much. They came to most of the games! Kayli and Trey loved running around with all of their friends during the game too. Beau had a great season. He can hit good and liked playing first base but his favorite thing was sliding into home! Kenny helped Mike coach and they did a great job- it was fun to see the boys get even better!
School pictures:
Right before the weather cooled down, we went to Cowabunga Bay. Tracy had free tickets so a lot of the family met up after school and went. It was so perfect-nobody was there! We walked on rides and even though it got cold when the sun went down it was the perfect time to go!
The kids always love the Apex Fun Run they do at school and I like to go cheer them on!
Kenny and the kids got to meet the actors from Rad, a bike movie that Kenny loved growing up!
We went to Utah for a long weekend and the kids loved missing school for that. Mom and Dad went up too so it was fun to have them there with us. We had a great time doing all the Fall things! We went to Salt Lake the first day and found a baptism dress for Kayli! Mom and Dad brought Grandma and Grandpa and Cindy up too. We hung out at City Creek Mall and then went to Corn Bellies where we stayed for 4 hours and could have stayed longer if it hadn’t gotten so cold! On Saturday, me and Dad took Kayli and Beau to the BYU Bookstore. It was Homecoming Week at BYU so there were lots of people on campus and the bookstore was packed. We got some BYU stuff so we’d be ready for the game that night! Kenny met us for more shopping and then Mike called to see if we wanted to go to the lake-in October in Utah! But they had wetsuits and Kenny was totally down for it. Dad went with them to be the flagger. Kayryn came over and so of course the kids were super excited. She took them to the park and is so much fun. That night me, dad, Kenny, Beau, Uncle Scott, and Uncle David went to the BYU football game! Dad was like a little kid so excited! I was pretty excited too and it ended up being a really good game to go to since it was so high scoring and we actually won. Beau was pretty cute and he loved it! It was freezing but he didn’t care at all. We were bundled up good and he cheered a ton and was totally into it. And of course he loved all of the food-especially the Cougar Tail! I think we should make this a tradition!
On Sunday we went to church with Chase and Haley since they were up there blessing Audra in Haley’s aunt’s ward in Orem! It was too crazy that we were up there the same weekend and that they were doing the blessing in Utah. We had lunch with Haley’s family at her aunt’s house afterwards and it was so much fun! After that we went with mom and dad and Grandma and Grandpa up to Sundance to Uncle Hank’s swing and to see all of the fall colors. We always have a lot of fun at the swing showing people that. It was great until Grandpa fell! He wanted to do the zip line so bad and he’s done it before but this time his foot didn’t get off the tree stump and so he spun all the way around and it was almost really bad. Luckily, he held on tight and Kenny could stop him quickly so he was alright. Grandpa was pretty proud of it though! And he even went again-just not from the tree stump. There was a little bit of snow on the ground so the kids and dad had a snowball fight. That night lots of the family came over and had dinner. I love seeing my cousins and family since we don’t get to see them very much!
The next morning we cleaned and headed out but had to kill some time while Kenny did a meet-up in Provo so I took the kids to the Bean Museum. We had just been there in June but Trey wanted to go back so bad. He loves animals! He asks every day now if we can go to the Bean Museum. We also stopped at the big red barn since Trey loves barns so much. We got some yummy apple donuts and pumpkin butter! My kids hate to leave Utah just as much as I do! Trey asked if we go back to Grandma Varney’s house and stay forever. We love it there!
Kayli and I got to see Emily’s baby, Colton! He is the cutest and I’m so happy for Emily and Scott.
We went to the kids’ school Fall Festival and it was so well done! Kayli’s teacher asked her to decorate their class pumpkin for the decorating contest. It was the perfect project for her and she planned it all out herself and decorated it all by herself. She told me later that she didn’t win but that it was ok- that she liked seeing all of the other pumpkins and the creative ideas and that all of them together was just really cool to see. She just seemed so mature telling me all of that! I was proud of her for being ok with not winning because she had worked so hard and contributed to a really cool display of pumpkins and represented her class!
Kayli and Beau made cookies with Grandma Eliason…
Trey just finished his Sports Sampler Class and I think he liked it! He got a little naughty the last few weeks but overall I was impressed that he went and actually did it! I think he liked flag football the most and was awesome at chasing the coaches and grabbing their flags.
We had our annual Halloween date with McCormicks and Cahills. We’ve been doing this for years! Chase drove the school bus and we went to Frijoles, Luv-Its, and did a haunted escape room!
The next day Chase picked us up for church in the bus! The bus is too funny. Everyone loves it! (There are even seatbelts on this bus!)
We had our ward Trunk or Treat and big Trey came with us!
For Cami’s birthday we tried to do an 80s roller skating night but last minute the skating rink was rented out and we couldn’t go there. We decided to go bowling instead and it’s too crazy how everything worked out because we ended up sending a bad guy to jail! Cami, Marci, and I ended up driving behind a guy we figured was drunk and called the cops. Turns out he had a ton of drugs and was going to jail thanks to us! It ended up being a pretty crazy and funny night!
We went to a pumpkin patch with Livi’s preschool class.
We went to the Lion Habitat with Grandma Eliason and Lindsay and her kids. Trey loves animals and zoos so much so we were excited to take him there. The best part was the giraffe. He painted on a canvas and then Beau and Trey got to feed him! It was awesome!
We love Halloween and all the fun things that come with it! This year Kayli was Rey and Beau was Darth Vader. Trey wanted to be some kind of animal but he loves them all so we made him a Zookeeper and Sami could be his elephant and then Kenny and I would be tacky tourist’s at the zoo. We painted and carved pumpkins, boo’d neighbors, watched Hocus Pocus over and over again, dressed up in costumes lots of times and had a blast trick-or-treating with lots of friends, neighbors, and family. We watched the kids parade around their school on Halloween. We love where we live but especially on Halloween night. The streets are packed with trick-or-treaters, people go all out on their decorating, and it’s always a great time!
Kayli still plays school a ton. She thinks of everything. Her latest thing to add to her classroom is sub plans. She loved bringing Milani to the baseball games. She loves to read and is reading lots of chapter books now.
Beau is our little whistler. He’s always whistling like his Grandpa Eliason and most of the time we can’t take it and have to tell him to stop! He always hops our side wall on to the mailboxes. He is obsessed with Flossing (the dance). He was incorrectly doing it all the time-everywhere-in front of people. I finally told Kenny that we HAD to teach him how to do it the right way before someone made fun of him or something. He practiced that thing for hours, days even, but finally has it down and can do it so fast. He does it all the time and everywhere still but at least he does it correctly now!
Trey is still crazy. Haha. I wonder if I’ll ever stop writing that??! He has fun at Playgroup except when it is at our house. He can’t handle people messing with his animals and his perfectly set up zoo. He loves to ride his bike down the street next to our house and yell “whoohoo!” One day he walked to the Sagers house all by himself (2 streets away) but that’s a long story… He learns songs pretty quickly and so in the car he knows all the songs that Kayli knows and loves to sing duets with her and gets so mad if people sing the wrong parts. He says lots of words with an “h” sound at the beginning so Grandpa and grandma is “hampa and hamma”, Sami is “Hami”, and Charlie is “Hawie”… he’s sometimes hard to understand but we love his little voice!
Sami is 14 months now! She is the cutest thing to us and so much fun. She is still the happiest thing and so playful! She loves to play on the trampoline with the big kids or all by herself! She also loves the Pop It book, playing with the play kitchen, Minnie, and holding baby dolls. She is obsessed with Halloween decorations and loves to point them all out on our street. She isn’t walking yet but she has taken steps and is probably close but isn’t there yet! She can hear Kenny’s jeep and the lock on our door beep when he gets home and gets so excited and yells “dad!” She loves to dance. She can’t help herself when she hears music and starts dancing!
A few more of the kids…
