Spring ’24

Sami went on her first elementary school field trip and I got to chaperone! We saw a play at the Smith Center and she rode a school bus for the first time!

Take-Your-Kid-To-Work Day was so much fun because I got to take a kid to work! I subbed that day and the school allowed subs to bring kids so Kayli went with me which she has been begging to do for a long time! She was the cutest and the kids loved her! Sami came with me too but went to her own class. Beau and Trey went with Kenny where they had a super fun day too! I took Sami down there after school so she could go to work with mom AND dad.

We wrapped up a few sports seasons and a few are about to end… Kayli’s club volleyball season has ended. I sure loved watching her play libero this year. Beau’s school volleyball team finished as well and it was fun to see him (by far the smallest kid out there) work hard and have fun. Trey and Beau’s football teams have playoffs this weekend and they are both undefeated so we’re hoping for the big W for both teams! We have loved sitting out at their games on Friday nights (the weather was perfect most games) and watching them play with their buddies. Both boys have scored touchdowns and play great defense. Sami has one more soccer game. She has scored lots of goals this season and has been working on passing which is so fun to see. Beau is back on the Minions hockey team for the spring season which we are very happy about! He got his first hat trick at the last game. He is also playing on a summer travel team, Sin City Rattlers, which will take us to a few fun places this summer!

Trey finished up Book Club with Mrs. Gubler, our school librarian who is the best, and our school did The Lion King play which was amazing! Trey was in the choir for this and it was so fun to see!

Kayli, Beau, and Trey had their first piano recital with Kathy (Trey’s first piano recital ever) and they killed it! We are so lucky to have Kathy as our piano teacher. She is incredible.

I have been subbing a lot! At this point I should be teaching full-time but that brings on even more time and stress so it’s not happening yet. Kenny will be very busy traveling all over getting the word out about his RECORD app.
