Kenny and I just got back from our 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise. We had a good time but we sure missed Kayli. She stayed with Kenny’s family and she did great. She was pretty excited that we did finally come home though. We went with Josh and Mandy and then Josh had some law school friends, Jared and Michelle, who were also on the cruise so we all hung out and a great time. Here’s lots of pictures…
I told Kenny that since he would finally have some free time this week that he should read The Hunger Games before the movie comes out. He NEVER reads but we got him to check it out…and I couldn’t get him to stop reading! He finished in two days and then Jared wanted to try…he finished in one day! I’m so proud of Kenny…
Our first formal night on the cruise…
Our first stop was Cabo San Lucas. We didn’t think Cabo was very pretty…it’s a total desert. BUT the water was a very pretty color and the rock formations were pretty cool too.
See what I mean about the color of the water?
Snorkeling…
Dinner is probably my favorite thing about a cruise…because I don’t have to think about meals, shop for the food, cook the food, clean up the food, or eat my own food…I thoroughly enjoy everything about cruise dinners! We had a pretty fun group of waiters and the manager of the restaurant seemed to spend all of her time with us too. They are absolutely hilarious and witty and with Kenny and Josh around too there was never a dull moment.
Josh and Kenny put on quite the dance show for everyone…people would leave and tell them, in all seriousness, thanks for the entertainment.
Puerto Vallarta was our favorite stop. It was so green! Kenny and I took a boat ride to a private beach called Las Caletas. The boat ride took us all along the coast for an hour and the coast was beautiful! The buildings, the greenery, the water…it was all amazing. When we got to the beach they fed us lunch and then we had a few hours to kayak, paddle board, tube, snorkel, look at monkeys and parrots, and lay out in these really nice beach chairs. It was beautiful and relaxing!
Kenny tried paddle boarding…it didn’t go so well…
I loved sitting in the tube!
Josh and Kenny were also hits at karaoke…the crowds loved them both!
Our second formal night…
If Kenny didn’t finish his last bite…Savio would shove it in his mouth! It was too funny every time.
We loved playing Sudoku while we listened to the amazing singer guy each night.
Our last dinner was so fun…but so sad…because we loved out waiters! The manager, Dessi, told us that we were such good young people and to never change. She asked us who was going to make her laugh next week. Here they all are…
Mandy and I had to get a picture of our matching boys…
Getting one last midnight ice-cream cone and calzone…
Josh with all the medals and trophies he won all week…
So sad to be leaving…
But so happy to be back with this girl!
Here are some pictures of Kayli’s week at Grandma’s…
Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, and Kaci!
Kayli is so much fun. She loves seeing her relatives and has a blast playing with everyone…
She loves finding the moon…
And she still loves reading…I caught her with this book and thought it was pretty funny.
We love her! And soon we will get to love another baby too! Our second child is due August 15th and tomorrow we find out if it will be a boy or girl…guesses?
