Kayli went to Universal Studios for her 6th grade field trip. She had the best time! They left at 2:00 in the morning one night and got home at midnight the next night. She was a tired girl after that! It was fun getting texts and pictures from her all day.
The day she got home was our youth temple trek. They walked 15 miles across Las Vegas to the temple. Kayli was soooo exhausted after two nights of little sleep, Universal Studios all day and then walking across the city. But she did it! Our youth have been working really hard over the past few months. It’s pretty awesome.
Field Day…
Trey’s soccer team is really cute and fun to watch. Trey had the best game of his life the other day. We had so much fun watching.
Beau started flag football and his team is also so cute and fun to watch. They are hilarious and crack us up at practice. Beau is a passionate athlete. He is so pumped and excited when things are going well and so sad when things aren’t going well haha.
Kayli’s volleyball ended so she has a lot more free time. At their final tournament they got 2nd place! She really grew this year in volleyball and is looking forward to volleyball camps and practices this summer.
Beau also started spring season of hockey. After the Minions won the Championship, the league broke up their team. Beau stayed with his coach and a few friends but Bennett and most of the team ended up on different teams. We are super bummed but are excited that the tournament team is still together and that this is a short season. Beau is still pumped to play hockey though! He has to work super hard on defense this season. They’ve moved up an age division so he is now one of the youngest players in the league and they’re also in the top division of the league- so he’s playing some really good kids. He played so hard the other night he landed himself in the penalty box twice.
We still love watching the Golden Knights play and love when we can go to a game! We try to watch all of the playoff games so that keeps us busy too haha.
Take Your Kid to Work Day…
We went to The Chicks’ concert for Mike’s birthday and it was soooo good.
Beau is a really good kid and has been so much fun at his school. I can’t believe he’s about to graduate form elementary school! He pumps everyone up and loves to celebrate people’s successes. If someone does something awesome, he’s the first to jump on them and say, “let’s gooo!” Haha. He is a friend to everyone, especially those younger than him. He is always saying bye to all the kids and giving them a fist bump. He’ll roll down the window to yell bye to kids or teachers. He has such a fun personality and has been such a great 5th grader. I loved when I got this message from his teacher about him and his friends. I already knew about this because I see it when I pick him up or when I’m there subbing, but it’s nice to know that other parents appreciate good kids. I am really sad that he is almost done with elementary school. He has had good friends who will all be going to different middle schools. He has learned so much and worked really hard this year. He is getting a special award at their awards assembly next week for working really hard at something. Pics of that next time!
Trey is very thoughtful. He wanted to do something special for his teacher and student teacher for Teacher Appreciation Week. He decided to make them both google slides presentations and send it to them. He worked really hard on it too! He also got the Citizenship Award in his class for kindness. He is also a very good friend to everyone at school.
Sami is almost done with Kindergarten and I’m really sad about it! She has had a wonderful Kindergarten year and had so much fun with her friends in her class. I don’t want it to end! I got to sub their class last week and it was probably my most favorite day of subbing all year (although I do love Beau’s class too!)
We became Sacramento Kings fans thanks to Mike!
